Do you have an idea, a sketch or an existing part that you would like to have developed and produced?
With this startup service, Living Prints will work with you to determine whether your idea is technically and practically feasible , and how it can best be realized through 3D printing. Living Prints cannot produce extensive and complex designs.
Only if we notice that realising the idea proves unfeasible will you receive your deposit back .
You don't need any prior technical knowledge. This service is intended as a first step : we analyze your idea, collaborate on design and production, and develop a clear and realistic proposal for the rest of the process.
What does the application entail?
After your request:

Living Prints analyses your idea, sketch, photos or supplied dimensions

the technical and practical feasibility is assessed

possible solutions, materials and production methods are examined

a quotation is drawn up for developing the design and production of the component
- 30 minutes hourly rate in advance deducted from the final invoice
The start-up phase is intended to develop a well-thought-out and feasible plan before any actual design or production work commences.

Design and production only start after approval of the quotation
- We strongly advise against printing critical components such as fundamental automotive parts or construction materials. We are not liable for any consequential damages.
Design & production after approval
After approval of the quotation:

at least one design is being developed

the design can be further refined or expanded if desired

the part is produced via 3D printing, according to the agreed specifications
Additional refinements, designs, or optimizations are done at an hourly rate and always after prior approval.
Home delivery is possible only :

These examples are for inspirational purposes . Each request is evaluated individually for technical feasibility and application context. We strongly discourage the production of critical components that could cause serious damage if they failed. Think of fundamental automotive components or construction materials.
How do I specify the number of prints?
You can specify this in the comments.
What if I want to reprint something?
If you want to have the same file printed again later, the deposit will be forfeited . In that case, request a new print run via the contact form, using the order number from the previous request. Even then, production will only begin after the quote has been approved .
Who is this service intended for?
This service is suitable for:
- private individuals with a concrete idea
- self-employed persons or companies looking for a tailor-made solution
- anyone who wants to start without any technical knowledge
Both one-off projects and repeatable solutions are possible.

Can I have multiple design variations made?
Yes. In addition to the initial design, additional design variations or further refinements can be developed if desired.
This is done at an hourly rate and always after consultation.
Is a test print possible?
In some cases, yes.
After consultation, a simple conceptual test print can be used to evaluate fit, functionality or design choices.
Test prints are not a standard part of the start-up and are coordinated separately.
Can I also start with an existing part?
Yes. You can start with:
- an idea or sketch
- reference photos
- an existing part for which you can supply the dimensions
3D scanning is possible via a separate service .
